I’m doing a show tonight and it’s kind of a big deal… to me at least. Not only will it by my first musical (ie not just rapping) performance in probably 8 years, it’s also going to be my first time creating live music using nothing but iPhone apps.
I’m still working on my all iPhone album, titled Beeps and Smudges, but I had never planned on doing this whole “app music” thing live. It’s exciting and very scary at the same time. I feel like I’m on a cusp of attempting something that few other people have tried, but that also means that I’m working out all the kinks myself. Tonight’s show is more a proof of concept than a rock show.
Before the show, I’ll be teaching a Nanoloop for iPhone workshop that should be a fun way to get into iPhone music. So download a copy for your iPhone or iPod or iPad or whatever and come early to learn the basics of Nanoloop. You should probably bring some headphones too.
when/where:
Friday, May 7th | fivepoints arthouse | 72 Tehama St., San Francisco
Nanoloop workshop at 9pm, show starts at 10pm
