This piece was created for the nerdcore rapper Beefy. It was commissioned by Chandra, his awesome girlfriend, to be a Christmas gift. I had been working on a ton of Pac-Man themed watercolor pieces for my “Ghost In the Machines” series, so I thought this was a perfect chance to create an East Coast/West Coast painting. The part of the Notorious BIG is played by Pac-Man, while the part of Tupac is played by Blinky. I believe this is my first commissioned painting since high school, where I was paid a hundred dollars to make a 7 foot tall painting of Superman to be used as an outdoor sign by a local comic book shop.
